The Air New Zealand Queenstown International Marathon is one of the most scenic marathon’s in the world. Soak up the awe inspiring mountains, pristine lakes and stunning country side of the Queenstown Lakes District.
The running festival offers several different courses including 42km, 21km, 10km and a 3km kids run.
The 42 kilometre course takes in the best of the Queenstown Lakes region including Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, Shotover River, Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens and finishes in the heart of Queenstown itself.
The course is 70% hard packed trails and 30% on road surfaces combined with a mainly flat gradient.
The marathon begins at the Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown so we recommend booking the $15 event shuttle service that will be operating from the Queenstown town centre on race day morning. Prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall Men and Women.

Prize money will be awarded based on participant's gun time. All competitors will receive the following as part of their entry fee:
- Race Number
- Timing device
- Gear bag tag
- Medical support/assistance
- Aid stations on the course (with water, POWERADE Mountain Blast sports drink, toilets and first aid)
- Post-event recovery area at the finish area with food & drink
- Finishers medal
